Paul Lee, CPA
For the first few years of his career, Paul’s focus was on federal and state tax credit studies. He currently serves as a principal for PSG and is responsible for establishing and managing relationships with business professionals.
His strengths include working on complex tax issues, employer stock options, retirement planning, and IRS representation. Paul brings a strong work ethic and ability to understand complex problems and situations.
Paul holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from CSUS Sacramento and is an active member of the California Society of CPAs.
Randy Baldwin, CPA
Randy is a Certified Public Accountant with over 30 years of experience aiding clients in minimizing income taxes and achieving their financial goals. He has experience in taxation with personal returns, business returns, estate and IRS offers in compromise.
Randy founded TeamBaldwin CPAs in 1999 after spending 20 years at Scott & Baldwin CPAs. The firm experienced tremendous growth and was acquired by Professional Solutions Group, LLP in 2005. Randy remained connected to many of his tax clients in the ensuing years and rejoined PSG as a principal in 2010.
Paula has been his best friend and wife for 26 years. Together they have two wonderful children, Elizabeth and Colin, who are both currently attending college. Their hobbies include volleyball, softball, scuba diving, camping, golf, the Sacramento Kings and traveling.
Randy has a B.S. in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University and a Master’s Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University. Currently, he is an Elder and Treasurer at the Sunrise Community Church. Previously he has been an officer in the Sacramento 20-30 Club, a member of the IRS/Practitioner liaison committee, Board member of the Roseville Chamber of Commerce and Board member of Ardent Faith Ministries.
L. Paul Johnson, CPA
Paul has been a CPA since 1986. His level of experience and knowledge is interesting, varied and deep.
At the beginning of his career, Paul worked at one of the Big 8, Peat Marwick/KPMG. He also owned his own accounting firm for 28 years named Johnson & Co, and a restaurant for 4 years.
Paul’s emphasis is small businesses in Real Estate, Construction and Restaurant Industries, as well as, Estate and Trust Tax Planning.
He is a member of various clubs and organizations including; AICPA, CACPA, Loomis Lion’s club, Loomis Chamber of Commerce and is licensed both in CA and MD.
Originally from the Washington DC area, John has worked and lived in the Loomis area since 1998.
John is married and has 3 children and 4 grandkids and counting. He is active in Church Ministry here and abroad.
John Choi, CPA, JD
John is a principal with PSG Certified Public Accountants and has been in private practice since 2003. During that time, John has provided his clients with excellent business advisory and consulting services with a focus on helping business owners with flow-through entities such as S Corporations, Partnerships, LLCs and LLPs. John has a unique ability to understand his clients’ businesses as well as the ever-changing tax landscape. He uses this knowledge to improve his clients’ overall tax situation.
Prior to engaging in private practice, John served eight years with the Franchise Tax Board (FTB) in both the Audit and Legal Departments as a technical matter specialist. While working for FTB’s legal branch, John’s responsibilities included setting global tax policies for auditors engaging in complex tax matters such as pass-through entities, tax shelters, corporate liquidations, and state tax credits such as Research and Development, Manufacturer’s Investment Credit, and Enterprise Zones. Demonstrating exceptional competence in tax issues, John has testified before the Superior Court of California as an expert witness. John has taught numerous technical tax issues to both auditors at FTB and CPAs throughout California.
John was raised locally in Roseville and currently resides in Folsom. He is married to a loving wife, Connie, and has adorable young boys, JT, Justin, and Jacob. John enjoys spending time with his family on his days off and once in a great while gets in a round of golf.
John has a B.S. in Accountancy from University of the Pacific, Stockton and a Juris Doctorate degree in Tax from McGeorge School of Law. John is an active member of the California Society of CPAs.
